28 Years of Dance, Community & Joy

Kathaleen has dedicated nearly three decades to sharing her love of dance with the children of Wilmington and beyond. She founded The Dance Company in 1997 with a simple belief: every child deserves a space where they feel seen, celebrated, and free to move.

Over the years, that belief has brought hundreds of families through our doors — many returning year after year, generation after generation. Kathaleen teaches with warmth, patience, and an energy that’s contagious. Whether she’s leading a room of two-year-olds through their very first plié or helping a teenager prepare for their recital solo, her approach is the same: meet them where they are, and make it fun.
